PARISH NOTICES ST JULIAN’S PARISH 26th to 27th May 2018
Celebration of the First Holy Communion:
On Tuesday at 5.15pm there will be the second preparatory meeting on in the Parish Church for the children doing their First Holy Communion.
On Thursday between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, there will be confession available for the parents and children doing their First Holy Communion. Confession is however open to all and it would be nice that we go to confession before the feast of Corpus Christi.
On Saturday there will be 36 children doing their First Holy Communion in our Parish. Celebrations start at 5.30pm in the Parish Church.
On Saturday there no evening masses will be held at the Parish Church, but instead there will be the following masses:
- 5.30pm at the Immaculate Conception chapel
- 6.30pm at Lapsi Church
Feast of Corpus Christi: On Sunday after the 7.00pm mass there will be a procession with the Holy Eucharist, accompanied by the children who did their First Holy Communion.
Rosary for the month of May: A Rosary will be recited by the Legion of Mary in Kappara on Monday at 7.00pm.
Coffee Morning: On Tuesday a Coffee Morning will be held in aid of the Parish, in the hall by the Parish Church from 9.30am onwards.
First Friday: At 7.00pm there will be Mass followed by an adoration at the Parish Church.
Flimkien: Helpers who distribute the Flimkien may collect their copies from the Parish Office as from Monday.
Catechism applications: Those who wish to apply for the Holy Communion class for next year, that is those children born in 2012, can collect their application from the Parish Office. (Those children who have already attended this year do not need to reapply as they automatically go to the next class.)
Cana Course: Those couples planning to get married within the next two years are encouraged to attend the Cana Course. In our Parish, the course is held on Sunday morning and starts on the first Sunday in October. Those interested may apply at the Parish Office during office hours.
