Parish Notices ST JULIANS PARISH 1st to 2nd December 2018

 

  1. First Friday: At 6.30pm there will be Mass followed by an adoration at the Parish Church. A prayer vigil will be held at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in front of the Blessed Sacrament at 9pm.

 

  1. Feast of the Immaculate Conception: The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is on Saturday. Mass at the Immaculate Conception Chapel will be held at 8.30am.  All masses celebrated will be of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.

 

  1. Baptism: On Sunday the sacrament of Baptism will be celebrated during the 11.00am mass in the Parish Church.

 

  1. Sale of poinsettias and Christmas items: Ponsettias will be available for sale next weekend near the Book Centre, who also sell ornamental items, Christmas related books and Parish cards.

 

  1. Parish Calendar: Those who would also like to collect next year’s Parish Calendar may do so from the back of the Parish Church.

 

  1. Retreat: A half-day retreat for Advent is being held on Thursday 13th December, national holiday, at the Sisters of St Clare Monastery from 9.30am until 1pm, including Mass. This is being led by Fr Martin Micallef, OFM Cap.  Please contact the parish office for bookings.

 

  1. Christmas Dinner: We will be having the Parish’s Christmas Dinner on Saturday 15th December at 8pm at Gululu Restaurant. Booking at the Parish office or book centre.

 

  1. Diocesan Commission: The Diocesan Commission have prepared a Christmas Tree at the back of the Parish Church where one can collect a ‘Christmas Cracker’ in order to help the needy in our Parish. Contributions may be placed in the baskets placed in our churches.  Thank you for your donations.

 

  1. Prayers for our faithful departed: We pray for Arthur Bonnici and John Grima who entered eternal life during November. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord…
