PARISH NOTICES ST JULIAN’S PARISH 17th to 18th March 2018

 

  1. Morning of reflection during Lent: A half day of reflection will be held on Monday 19th March from 9.30am to 1.00pm addressed by Rev Fr Robert Grech at the Poor Clares’ Monastery in St Julians. The programme includes mass.

 

  1. Way of the Cross for children: There will be the Way of the Cross for children this Tuesday and Thursday at 5.30pm at the Parish Church according to their Catechism classes.

 

  1. Confessions: In preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, on Wednesday from 7.00pm to 11.00pm there will be priests available for confessions (including a priest from outside the parish) as well as time for silent adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament in the Parish Church.

 

  1. Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows (Friday):
  • 3.00pm – 4.00pm: Divine Mercy Adoration at the Parish Church;
  • Evening Masses at 5.30pm at Lapsi Church as well as at the Immaculate Conception Chapel;
  • 6.30pm: penitential pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, going via Lapsi Street, St Mark Street, down B’Kara Hill, Main Street and back to the Parish Church, followed immediately by Mass.

 

  1. Palm Sunday: On Sunday at 9.30am there will be the children’s mass. Prior to the mass the olive tree branches will be blessed on the bridge near the Parish Church.

 

  1. Collection of food items: The Diaconia Commission is currently collecting food items for needy families in our Parish. All food items are to be placed in the baskets in the Parish Church, Lapsi Church and Kuncizzjoni Chapel. We thank you in advance for your help.

 

  1. Summer Time: Since this weekend we switch our clocks to Summer time, we remind you that the evening mass at the Parish Church during the week and on Sunday evenings will now be at 7.00pm. The Parish Office will now be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
