PARISH NOTICES ST JULIAN’S PARISH 19th to 20th May 2018

 

  1. Rosary for the month of May: A Rosary will be recited by the Legion of Mary in The Gardens on Monday at 6.15pm.

 

  1. Preparation for First Holy Communion:
    1. There will be the first preparatory meeting on Tuesday at 5.15pm in the Parish Church for the children doing their First Holy Communion this month, in Pope John Paul II Hall. There will be a meeting for the parents at the same time.
    2. On Saturday at 9.30am there is going to be a retreat for the children doing their First Holy Communion in Pope John Paul II Hall.

 

  1. Marian Celebration: All children attending Catechism together with their parents are meeting on the Church parvis on Thursday at 5.15pm for the crowning of Our Lady by the children. This concludes the year of Catechism.

 

  1. Marian Pilgrimage: The Legion of Mary is organising a pilgrimage on Friday at 7.30pm which will go from the Parish Church up to Kuncizzjoni. Everyone is invited.

 

  1. Children’s Mass: On Sunday, the 9.30am Mass at the Parish Church will be animated by the children. Special prayers will be said for the children doing their First Holy Communion.

 

  1. Laqgħa mill-Qrib: There is going to be a meeting on Sunday 27th May at 10.30am at Pope John Paul II hall for those couples who are getting married in the next 6 months and who completed the Cana Course. Bookings are to be made at the Parish Office.

 

  1. Catechism applications: Those who wish to apply for the Holy Communion class for next year, that is those children born in 2012, can collect their application from the Parish Office. (Those children who have already attended this year do not need to reapply as they automatically go to the next class.)

 

  1. National Day of Prayer and Fasting: A national day of prayer and fasting is being organised on the 25th May in favour of the unborn child.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in their own way.

 

  1. Special collection: There will be a special collection during the coming weekend in aid of the refurbishment of the Parish Church.  We appeal to your generosity so that this very necessary project which will be enjoyed by all will be done.
